What do we do?We are a group of dedicated high school students who volunteer at Watermark Almaden senior home and teach art lessons to the elderly. Our lessons are engaging hands-on strep by step projects (individual and group) so that all elderly members can participate. We are also open to donating paintings of our own to elderly homes and hospitals. We look forwards to future partnerships and oppurtunities!
-
Why do you teach art?We teach art because there are not many opportunities for vulnerable communities to have a creativity outlet. Art allows the elderly to express themselves, learn something new, and have fun with a hands-on project. Many of our members are also passionate artists that seek to leave a mark in their local community through their creative expression.
